Digital Chocolate Wins Major Award, Sees Strong Fourth Quarter

San Mateo, CA, Sept. 20, 2007 Digital Chocolate, Inc., a leading publisher of high-quality, original games and software for mobile phones, again won the prestigious Best Games Developer Award bestowed Monday at the Mobile Entertainment Awards in London, and announced that the integration of two new studios has been completed in preparation for a strong fourth quarter.

All four of the company's studios are now playing key roles in the ongoing rollout of the new, award-winning DChoc Cafe™ Series, with major cross-carrier promotions lined up to begin on October 1, 2007. The company expects breakthrough financial results in the fourth quarter, with record revenue levels driven by the DChoc Cafe Series. Record profits are also expected from new spending efficiencies enabled by the transfer of workload to new locations in Bangalore, India, and Barcelona, Spain, which are now contributing more than 100 employees to a total staff of 300. Helsinki, Finland, remains the company's largest office.

The company's larger total staff is enabling a wider range of initiatives to be deployed, including the recent launch of Tower Bloxx™ on the web, the company's first foray into web games. Mobile game production levels have tripled, supporting new property licenses. Platform support has expanded to include WAP, which will be new for the fourth quarter.

Major mobile carriers have committed to participate in the fourth quarter promotion of the DChoc Cafe Series, which will include cross-carrier prizes to consumers totaling $50,000. Several new games qualify for the promotion, which will be in effect for the entire quarter with multiple carriers participating. IGN.com recently praised the DChoc Cafe Series, calling it "genius," and giving it the highest score they have awarded to any mobile product in 2007.

"The company is breaking through a new threshold," said Trip Hawkins, chief executive officer, Digital Chocolate. "With our four locations and higher capacity we can better serve regions and market segments, and deliver across more casual platforms that create more synergy. And our superior technology leverage and staffing in these new locations has enabled us to streamline our focus in San Mateo."
